Job summary

Gus Precision Engineering Services is seeking an experienced CNC Mill-Turn Programmer, Setter and Operator to join its modern manufacturing team. You will work on 4-axis Mill-Turn/Lathe machines, programming, setting up, and operating to meet precise tolerances and quality requirements.

You should have proven CAD/CAM experience, read engineering drawings, and an eye for detail, with strong English communication.

Qualifications

Proven experience programming, setting, and operating CNC Mill‑Turn or CNC Lathe machines (4‑axis).
Ability to create and modify CNC programs independently.
Experience using CAD/CAM software.
Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, and cutting parameters.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
Experience using precision measuring equipment.
Good problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
Good level of spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

Program CNC Mill‑Turn / 4‑axis Lathe machines using CAD/CAM software (Mastercam preferred).
Set up machines, tooling, fixtures, and workholding equipment.
Operate CNC machines to manufacture components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
Optimise programs and machining processes to improve efficiency and quality.
Perform first‑off inspections and in‑process quality checks.
Adjust machine offsets and tooling as required to maintain tolerances.
Carry out routine machine maintenance and TPM activities.
Troubleshoot machining and programming issues.
Maintain accurate production records.
Follow all company safety and quality procedures.
