Job summary

Amazon is seeking an experienced Security Incident Response Engineer to help customers respond to security incidents and automate security operations at cloud scale. You will collaborate with AWS service teams, build threat detection capabilities, and contribute to security tooling and reference architectures.

You will mentor teams, develop automation content, and work on high-impact projects that shape our security posture for customers globally.

Qualifications

• Experience in scripting, programming, or security code reviewing in a common language such as Python, Java, or C++.
• Experience in security operations, risk management, and incident response.
• Knowledge of networking protocols (HTTP(S), DNS, TCP/IP).
• Fluency with AI tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform and oversee incident response operations.
• Become a deep technical resource trusted by customer stakeholders before, during, and after a security event.
• Design, build, and deploy solutions to automate security operations and incident response on AWS.
• Mentor and invest in consultants, partners, and customers to raise the bar for security outcomes.
• On-call required.
