Job summary

Cheeverstown House in South Dublin seeks a CNM1 to lead the Designated Centre, providing a high-quality, person-centred service to residents while effectively managing a team of health and social care professionals.

The role requires HIQA compliance, resource management, and implementation of safe systems. You will uphold Cheeverstown policies, safeguarding, and drive continuous service improvement through audits and staff education.

Qualifications

• Registered with NMBI in the RNID Division with at least 3 years post-registration experience.
• 2-3 years' experience of managing a team or service.
• 3-5 years' experience in the disability sector would be an advantage.
• Must have a recognised management qualification.
• Strong communication skills and fluent English (verbal and written).

Responsibilities

• Discharge your role as Person in Charge in line with HIQA and Health Act requirements.
• Ensure allocated resources are effectively managed and deployed.
• Implement management systems to ensure a high-quality, safe service.
• Ensure Cheeverstown policies and procedures are up to date and followed.
• Ensure safeguarding systems are effectively implemented.
• Maintain an up-to-date Risk Register and escalate risks as needed.
• Educate staff on standards and regulations and their roles.
• Monitor and continually improve service quality through audits.
