Job summary

Cheeverstown House invites applications for an Area Manager, Supported Living Services (CNM3). This senior role leads nursing and service teams across designated centres, ensuring safe, person-centred, rights-based supports and strong governance.

The post requires RNID registration, 5+ years post-registration nursing experience (at least 3 in management), a proven ability to drive quality, safeguarding and regulatory compliance, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Be registered RNID on the Register of Nurses and Midwives (NMBI).
• Minimum 5 years' post-registration nursing experience, with at least 3 years in management.
• Demonstrate experience leading services with governance, quality and safety.
• Strong knowledge of Health Act 2007, HIQA Regulations and National Standards.
• Experience working with multidisciplinary teams, families and external stakeholders.
• Hold a relevant management or healthcare qualification.
• Possess leadership, communication, and organisational skills for CNM3 level.
• Full, clean driving licence and access to own vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior nursing and management leadership across the assigned area.
• Ensure rights, voice and preferences of people supported are central.
• Translate strategic priorities into effective service delivery and outcomes.
• Oversee designated centres and PPIM responsibilities where appointed.
• Ensure HIQA, National Standards and regulatory compliance are met.
• Lead workforce planning and manage staffing establishments and rosters.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for integrated supports.
• Monitor quality, safeguarding, incidents and risk; escalate where needed.
• Manage resources and contribute to budgeting and service development.
