Job summary

Cheeverstown is seeking a CNM1 in South Dublin to oversee a designated centre and lead a health and social care team. The role focuses on delivering high-quality, person-centred residential services and ensuring regulatory compliance with HIQA and Health Act standards.

The post requires NMBI RNID registration with 3+ years post‑registration, 2–3 years’ team management experience, and a recognised management qualification, plus strong communication and IT skills and a valid driver’s licence.

Qualifications

• Registered with NMBI in the RNID division with at least 3 years post-registration experience
• 2–3 years’ experience managing a team or service
• 3–5 years’ experience in the disability sector is an advantage
• Must hold a recognised management qualification
• Strong communication skills and excellent English (oral and written)
• Full driving licence and access to have a car

Responsibilities

• Discharge the role of Person in Charge in line with HIQA requirements
• Manage resources effectively and deploy them where needed
• Implement and monitor management systems for safe, high-quality service
• Ensure Cheeverstown policies are up to date and implemented
• Safeguarding systems implemented in the responsibility areas
• Maintain an up-to-date Risk Register and manage risk/incidents
• Educate staff on standards and regulatory requirements
• Continually monitor and improve service quality via audits
