Job summary

INNOVATE is seeking a Security Engineer to join its Professional Services team on a permanent basis. This client-facing role focuses on cyber security, infrastructure protection and secure technology delivery across diverse customer environments.

You will work with Professional Services and Service Desk teams to implement, support, and improve security solutions, drive security-focused projects, and strengthen customer security posture through modern technologies and best practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in cyber security, network security or infrastructure security.
• Experience with firewalls, VPN technologies and secure remote access.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly with customers and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Implement, configure and maintain firewalls, VPNs and secure remote access.
• Deploy and support network security technologies.
• Review client environments for security risks and configuration weaknesses.
• Provide security recommendations and improvements.
• Support vulnerability remediation and hardening activities.
• Investigate security incidents and technical issues.
• Assist with security assessments and security reviews.
• Participate in security-focused discovery workshops and site assessments.
• Gather customer security requirements and input into secure design.
• Deliver security projects from design to implementation and handover.
• Maintain security implementation documentation.
• Provide escalation support for security incidents and work with Service Desk teams.
