INNOVATE is seeking a Security Engineer to join its Professional Services team on a permanent basis. This client-facing role focuses on cyber security, infrastructure protection and secure technology delivery across diverse customer environments.

You will work with Professional Services and Service Desk teams to implement, support, and improve security solutions, drive security-focused projects, and strengthen customer security posture through modern technologies and best practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in cyber security, network security or infrastructure security.
• Experience with firewalls, VPN technologies and secure remote access.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly with customers and colleagues.

Responsabilités

About the Role

INNOVATE is seeking a Security Engineer to join its Professional Services team on a permanent basis.

This is a client-facing role focused on cyber security, infrastructure protection and secure technology delivery. The successful candidate will work closely with both the Professional Services and Service Desk teams to implement, support and improve security solutions across a broad range of customer environments.

The role involves security-focused project delivery, technical discovery, client consulting, security assessments and operational support. You will assist customers in strengthening their security posture through the implementation of modern security technologies and best practice controls.

Duties & Responsibilities

Security & Infrastructure Protection

• Implement, configure and maintain firewalls, VPNs and secure remote access solutions.
• Deploy and support network security technologies.
• Implement network segmentation and access control solutions.
• Review client environments for security risks and configuration weaknesses.
• Recommend and implement security improvements.
• Support vulnerability remediation and security hardening activities.
• Investigate security-related incidents and technical issues.
• Assist with security assessments and security reviews.

Professional Services Delivery

• Participate in security-focused discovery workshops and site assessments.
• Gather customer security requirements.
• Provide technical input into secure solution design.
• Deliver security projects from design through to implementation and handover.
• Maintain security implementation and configuration documentation.

Service Desk Support

• Provide escalation support for security-related incidents and issues.
• Assist with security investigations and threat response activities.
• Work with Service Desk engineers on cyber security escalations.
• Support the ongoing operation of managed security solutions.

Customer Engagement

• Work directly with customers to understand security requirements.
• Present recommendations and improvement plans.
• Promote security best practices and cyber resilience.

Skills & Experience Required

Minimum 3 years' experience in cyber security, network security or infrastructure security.

• Experience with:
  Firewalls
  VPN technologies
  Secure remote access
  Network security controls
  Security incident investigation
  Security hardening

• Good understanding of network security fundamentals.
• Experience with security-focused project delivery.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly with customers and colleagues.
• Full clean EU driving licence.

Desirable Skills

• Fortinet certifications (NSE/FCP/FCE).
• CompTIA Security+.
• Cisco Security certifications.
• Microsoft Security certifications.
• Experience with Microsoft Defender.
• Azure security and cloud security experience.
• Experience conducting security reviews or assessments.
• Experience within an MSP or Professional Services environment.

Preferred Certifications

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104).
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate (AZ-700).
• Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate (MD-102).
