Job summary
Ward & Burke is seeking a Civil/Structural Design Engineer to contribute to large-scale infrastructure projects in the water, wastewater, energy and utilities sectors. You will deliver civil, geotechnical and structural design solutions from concept through to construction, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality, safety and compliance.
With a minimum of three years’ post-graduate experience, you will prepare detailed calculations, reports and drawings; support feasibility
Qualifications
- Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering (Level 8 or equivalent).
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in civil infrastructure design.
- Experience delivering projects within utility, water, wastewater or energy sectors.
- Proficiency in Eurocodes and current Irish/UK design standards.
Responsibilities
- Undertake detailed civil, structural and geotechnical design for utility infrastructure projects.
- Produce engineering calculations, technical reports, specifications and design drawings.
- Develop designs for reinforced concrete structures, buried structures, retaining walls, foundations and pipelines.
- Carry out structural analysis and design per Eurocodes and standards.
