Job summary

Ward & Burke in Kilcolgan, Galway, is seeking a CAD/BIM Technician to join our Head Office team. You will produce precise 2D CAD drawings and 3D BIM models for civil engineering and infrastructure projects, with a focus on water and wastewater facilities, working alongside engineers and project teams.

The role offers a collaborative environment, training and progression within a long-standing Irish engineering contractor, and exposure to varied projects across civil, water and wastewater sectors.

Qualifications

• Third-level qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction, BIM, CAD or related discipline.
• At least 3 years’ relevant experience in a CAD/BIM role.
• Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and Autodesk Revit.
• Good understanding of engineering drawings, design coordination and document control.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed 2D CAD drawings and 3D BIM models for civil engineering projects.
• Develop drawings and models from sketches, calculations, survey information and design briefs.
• Coordinate with engineers, architects, surveyors and project teams to meet design requirements.
