Job summary

GMC Utilities Group in Ireland is seeking a design coordination professional to support civil engineering projects across utilities and water/wastewater sectors. You will coordinate design deliverables, liaise with internal teams, and manage site surveys and progress updates to ensure constructability and timely delivery.

The role requires 2+ years in design coordination or civil engineering, familiarity with utility infrastructure, strong organisational and communication skills, and proficiency

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a design coordination or civil engineering role.
• Familiarity with utility infrastructure projects, water/wastewater projects.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office; AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS.

Responsibilities

• Review RFP documentation and coordinate pricing from consultants and subcontractors.
• Develop design proposals, programmes, and methodologies for submission.
• Organise and manage site surveys and design deliverables during project mobilisation.
• Liaise with internal teams and designers to ensure timely progress and constructability input.
• Support planning, permitting, and CPO processes as needed.
• Manage and submit design change orders and progress updates.
• Present developed designs at key milestones and finalise documentation for construction.
• Provide ongoing design coordination and support during the construction phase
