Job summary

DesignBuild Search are partnering with a leading Civil contractor in Meath to appoint a Civil Quantity Surveyor. You will be involved in cost planning, procurement, and contract administration across major civil and infrastructure projects, with exposure to site valuation and ongoing cost control.

The successful candidate will have a degree in Quantity Surveying and at least 5 years' experience, with strong skills in COINS, Bluebeam, MS Project and MS Office, and the ability to travel to project

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in quantity surveying within the Civil Engineering sector.
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts, cost control, and procurement processes.
• Proficient in COINS, Bluebeam, MS Project and MS Office.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Full driving license and willingness to travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and evaluate cost estimates, budgets, and bills of quantities for our projects.
• Conduct cost analysis and risk management for ongoing projects.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure accurate and timely procurement of materials and services.
• Monitor project costs and progress, identifying and addressing any discrepancies.
• Prepare and present detailed reports on project financial performance.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
• Assist in the preparation of contract documents and manage contract variations.
• Conduct site visits to assess project progress and provide accurate valuations.
