Job summary

Design Build Search are working with a rapidly expanding construction specialist. They have an opening for a Quantity Surveyor on a project in West Dublin, involved in prestigious DC, pharma and industrial projects across Europe.

The candidate should be degree qualified in Quantity Surveying with 5+ years post-qualification experience and a background with main or sub-contractors. Strong cost control and tendering skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or related field.
• 5+ years post college experience.
• Previous experience with a main or sub-contractor.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with and support the Senior QS.
• Attend meetings with subcontractors/ clients/ design team members.
• Preparation and monitoring of cashflow; assist in final accounts at project completion.
• Cost monitoring and reporting using construction software.
• Assess tender enquiries and review tender project analysis.
• Purchasing and monitoring of subcontractor and specialist supplier packages.
• Management of subcontractor re-measurement and final account payments.
• Processing monthly/fortnightly subcontractor and supplier payment certificates; compile variations and variation log.
• Pre-contract cost control and document preparation.

Due to ongoing work and a strong pipeline of work they have an opening for a Quantity Surveyor on a project in West Dublin. Our client is involved in prestigious projects in the DC, pharma and industrial projects. In addition to their Irish operations, they have projects ongoing throughout Europe.

Requirements:

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or related field
• 5+ years post college experience
• previous experience with a main or sub-contractor

Responsibilities include:

• Liaise with and support the Senior QS
• Attend meetings with subcontractors/ clients/ design team members

• Cost monitoring and reporting using construction computer software
