Job summary

Glanua seeks a Civil Project Engineer for Castlelake WTP Ennis, Co. Clare. You will work within a team on water and wastewater projects, ensuring design integrity and effective on-site delivery.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree and at least two years’ experience, plus proficiency in MS Office, GPS, total station, and CAD, with a full driving licence. You will engage with suppliers and subcontractors and assist with HSQE compliance and monthly progress reports.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar Civil Engineer role, preferably in water/wastewater.
• Degree in Civil Engineering or Level 7 qualification with related experience.
• Ability to work in a team on project delivery and engage with suppliers/sub-contractors at procurement and delivery stages.
• Good problem-solving skills and ability to use own initiative on site.
• Proficiency with MS Office and on-site surveying tools (GPS/Total Station) and CAD.
• Full driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a team delivering one or more projects.
• Ensure HSQE standards and on-site safety practices are followed.
• Familiar with project programmes and budgets and impact of overruns.
• Review specifications/drawings and develop design solutions.
• Use GPS/Total Station/3D scanning for setting out and As-Built data.
• Prepare technical reports and monthly progress updates.
• Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, and site staff.
• Liaise with employer representatives and stakeholders.
