Job summary

Johnson Controls Ireland HVAC in Dublin seeks a Service Engineer to commission, service, troubleshoot and maintain water/air cooled chillers and heat pumps for major pharma and tech clients in Leinster. You will lead site surveys, produce reports, and respond to issues within defined service agreements, often solo but as part of a wider specialist team.

A Refrigeration F-GAS 2079 certificate and NFQ level 5 or equivalent are required, with driving license and safety certifications; training on

Qualifications

• Refrigeration F-GAS 2079 certificate required.
• Experience with ammonia is preferred.
• Trade qualification in Refrigeration or qualified industrial electrician willing to cross-train on YORK chillers and heat pumps.
• Safe Pass and Manual Handling certificates required.
• NFQ level 5 or equivalent.
• Experience delivering service/maintenance on water-cooled and air-cooled chillers.
• Commissioning experience on large ton centrifugal/screw chillers and heat pumps is a plus with factory training provided.
• Experience with York, Sabroe, Trane, Carrier or Daikin chillers.
• Ability to work with limited supervision and without detailed procedures.
• Full Irish driving license required.

Responsibilities

• Carry commissioning, servicing, troubleshooting and maintenance of industrial water/air cooled chillers and heat pumps.
• Provide up to date site surveys, records and reports to aid quoting of new or replacement equipment.
• Be the primary contact for technical service issues and resolve complex systems within defined timeframes.
• Work mainly with Leinster area clients, including pharma, life sciences and high-tech sectors.
• Contribute to safety and teamwork in line with company policies.
