Job summary

Thomas Franks is a leading contract caterer delivering fresh food and service in schools across Ireland. The Catering Assistant role at our Dublin site offers a dynamic team environment and real opportunities to develop skills in food service, hygiene and customer care.

You will assist during breakfast, lunch and dinner, help set up dining rooms, and maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety in line with our policies.

Qualifications

• Previous experience of working within a catering environment.
• Previous experience of serving customers within a catering establishment.
• Food hygiene certificate preferred.
• Ability to work on own initiative and be adaptable.
• Excellent personal presentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve clients during breakfast, lunch or dinner service.
• Help setting up the dining room for service.
• Prepare food for service, following hygiene and safety practices.
• Ensure the kitchen is left clean and tidy to the required standard.
• Clear, clean and store away items for special functions.
• Restock and replenish stocks during service periods.
• Operate cleaning and dishwashing equipment and maintain storage areas.
• Complete all cleaning/hygiene duties.
• Interact with customers and client staff.
