Care Support Worker – Greystones3Q Recruitment is seeking a Care Support Worker for a permanent, full-time position supporting adults with physical, sensory and neurological disabilities in the Greystones area.
Location: Greystones, Co. Wicklow
Salary: €34,100.68-€39,625.68 per annum, depending on experience
Hours: 39 hours per week
Contract: Permanent, full-time
Roster: Flexibility to work across a 24/7 service

Key duties
- Assist individuals with personal care and daily living activities
- Support independence, choice and community participation
- Follow individual support plans and agreed care practices
- Build respectful and professional relationships with service users
- Promote dignity, inclusion, safety and wellbeing
- Maintain accurate records and report relevant concerns
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and multidisciplinary professionals
- Participate in the service's 24/7 roster
Candidate requirements
- QQI Level 5 in Healthcare Support or an equivalent qualification; or
- QQI Level 6 qualification in Social Care or Nursing
- Previous experience supporting people with disabilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Good written and spoken English
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work days, nights, weekends and unsocial hours
- Full manual driving licence or willingness to work towards obtaining one
- Eligibility to work in Ireland
- The service is accessible by car only. Candidates must have access to a car and be able to travel to the workplace independently.
- Applicants with relevant experience who do not currently hold the required qualification may be considered where they are willing to complete QQI Level 5 Healthcare Support within 18 months.
- The appointment is subject to satisfactory Garda Vetting.
- International Police Clearance is required where an applicant has lived or worked outside Ireland for six months or more since the age of 16.
