Job summary

The Rehab Group is seeking a dedicated Care Worker to join the Doon Residential Service in Tralee. This permanent, 30-hour role focuses on delivering personal care and supporting adults with intellectual disability and mental health needs in a high-support setting.

You will work as part of a respectful team, promoting dignity, choice and community inclusion while maintaining confidentiality and professional standards.

Qualifications

Minimum QQI Level 5 in Social Care or equivalent.
Ability to work effectively in a team providing person-centered support.
Maintain privacy and confidentiality of service users at all times.
Full Clean Drivers Licence.

Responsibilities

Promote teamwork and create a nurturing environment for service users.
Facilitate a person-centered service tailored to service users’ needs and preferences.

Job Purpose

To provide a personal care service to individuals with Intellectual Disability and Mental Health Difficulties within a high support residential service setting, in an environment which values and respects the individual, fosters a positive behavioral support approach to supporting people with challenging behaviors and an environment that fosters community based living, personal development and social inclusion

What we're looking for

Closing Date: Wednesday, 9th September2026 Salary starting from point 1 €31,561.64 to point 11 €43,730.75 Pro Rata and is subject to negotiation depending on experience and qualification.
