Job summary

The Rehab Group in Ennis, Co Clare is seeking a dedicated Care Worker to join the Carrowgar Children’s Residential Service on a permanent, 12‑hour contract. The role focuses on providing person‑centred support to children with varying disabilities and complex health needs, within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities include promoting teamwork, delivering tailored care, and upholding dignity, privacy, and choice for service users. Closing date: 18 September 2026.

Qualifications

• QQI Level 5 in Social Care or equivalent.
• Ability to work effectively in a team providing person-centred support.
• Maintain privacy and confidentiality of service users at all times.
• Full Clean Driver's Licence.

• Promote and actively get involved in teamwork, creating a nurturing and supportive environment for the service user.
• Facilitate and implement a person centred service appropriate to the needs, wishes and requirements of service users.
• Ensure that all interactions with service users are approached with dignity, respect and equality and incorporating choice.

Job Purpose

To facilitate a service user focused service to children with varying disabilities & complex health needs that include, Autism, Intellectual Disability, Behaviours that Challenge.

What we’re looking for:

• Minimum of QQI Level 5 in Social Care, or equivalent
• To be able to work effectively in a team providing person centered support for service users.
• To be able to maintain the privacy and confidentiality of service users at all times.
• Full Clean Drivers Licence
