Job summary

Kare Plan is seeking a Care Operations Planner to coordinate the day-to-day delivery of home support services for elderly and disabled clients in the community. You will analyse workforce capacity, prioritise tasks and allocate resources to ensure continuity of care.

Working closely with Care Managers and frontline staff, you will optimise staff deployment, monitor scheduling systems and maintain accurate records to support service delivery and quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year in a planning, scheduling, operations or resource allocation role requiring independent decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Plan and optimise deployment of Healthcare Assistants to ensure safe, continuous home support services.
• Analyse operational information and make independent staffing decisions affecting coverage.
• Allocate staff to client visits considering client needs, travel times and working hours.
• Evaluate service demand and capacity to support planning and continuity of care.
• Respond to unexpected changes to ensure continuity of care for elderly and vulnerable clients.
• Collaborate with Care Managers to match staff to client care needs.
• Liaise with HSE, Public Health Nurses, staff, clients and families on operational matters.
• Monitor activity using scheduling systems and maintain accurate records.
• Participate in planning meetings and contribute to service improvements.
