Job summary

Care Connect Group in Munster is recruiting a Regional Care Manager for a full-time permanent role based in Munster, with other locations possible depending on business needs. The position involves office-based work with significant field/home visits and on-call duties within the assigned territory.

You will lead day-to-day homecare delivery, drive growth of hours with HSE/private sector packages, and oversee care planning, risk assessments, safeguarding, and QA visits to ensure regulatory

Qualifications

• QQI Level 6 in Healthcare or Social Care, or equivalent.
• At least 3 years’ experience in a Care Manager role within Homecare essential
• Excellent people skills and approachability are essential
• Ability to analyse financial data would be an advantage
• Full, valid driving licence and willingness to travel across the assigned area.
• Registered Nurse or equivalent management qualification.
• Experience with HIQA & HSE policy frameworks

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day homecare service management in a cost-effective way
• Grow hours by managing new package requests from HSE and private sector while managing budgets
• Improve operational management systems, processes and best practices
• Conduct initial consultations with clients and families to assess care needs
• Prepare, review and update client care plans
• Conduct risk assessments in clients’ homes and mitigate risks
• Ensure care plans align with client needs, regulatory standards, and local policies
• Carry out QA visits to ensure services meet required standards
• Ensure safeguarding & other relevant standards
• Promote a culture of safety, openness and incident reporting
• Supervise, mentor and support care staff
• Manage rostering, on-call schedules, supervisions, disciplinary processes, and appraisals
• Provide care cover when necessary
• Act as primary point of contact for your team and stakeholders within your territory
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, families, healthcare professionals, and HSE
• Represent the Company at recruitment events and conferences

Duties of the role

• Overall Management of the day-to-day homecare service and make sure they are carried on in an appropriate, cost-effective way
• Responsible for the growth hours in your area by managing new packages requests from the HSE and private sector while also managing budgets and forecasts

• Ensure compliance with safeguarding & other relevant standards.
• Promote a culture of safety, openness, and incident reporting.

Required Qualifications & Experience

Working Conditions

• Full-time role with flexibility required (including occasional evening/weekend commitments).
• Office-based with significant field/home visits.
• On-call telephone support within your territory will be required.
