Job summary

Sunbeam House Services in Arklow is seeking caring Care Assistants to join a new Respite Service. You will support individuals with daily living, personal care, and social activities, fostering independence and wellbeing in a person-centred environment.

This permanent, full-time role requires warmth, enthusiasm, and a commitment to delivering excellent support within a welcoming team.

Qualifications

• FETAC/QQI Level 5 in Healthcare Support or equivalent.
• Genuine passion for supporting people with intellectual disabilities.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexible, positive, and person-centred approach.

Care Assistant – Respite | Arklow

Looking for a role where you can truly make a difference?

We are looking for caring, compassionate and motivated Care Assistants to join our new Respite Service in Arklow. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a welcoming team supporting people with intellectual disabilities to enjoy meaningful, high-quality short breaks in a safe and person-centred environment.

In this role, you will help create positive experiences, support independence, and promote dignity, choice and wellbeing in everyday life.

What you’ll bring

• FETAC/QQI Level 5 in Healthcare Support, Health Service Skills, or equivalent
• A genuine passion for supporting people with intellectual disabilities
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A flexible, positive and person-centred approach
• Full driving licence and willingness to drive service vehicles
