Permanent full-time role in Arklow

Job summary

Sunbeam House Services in Arklow is seeking caring Care Assistants for a new Respite Service. You will support people with intellectual disabilities to enjoy meaningful short breaks in a safe, person-centred environment.

In this role you will promote dignity, choice and wellbeing, assist with daily living, and help participants engage in activities and community participation within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• FETAC/QQI Level 5 in Healthcare Support, Health Service Skills, or equivalent.
• A genuine passion for supporting people with intellectual disabilities.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Full driving licence and willingness to drive service vehicles.

Responsibilities

• You will support individuals with daily living, personal care, activities, community participation and wellbeing.
• Help create a safe, respectful and enjoyable environment for each person using the service.
