Prosper Fingal, part of the Prosper Group, is recruiting a Care Assistant for our Day Services team in Swords, Co. Dublin. The role provides person-centred support to adults with intellectual disabilities and autism, in a permanent, on-site position.

The ideal candidate has QQI Level 5 in Healthcare Support or Health Service Skills, strong communication, and a flexible, team-oriented approach to help individuals achieve personal goals and participate in community activities.

Job description

Location: Swords, Co. Dublin

Hours: 30 hours per week

Contract: Permanent

Salary: €16.01-€23.15 per hour, depending on experience

We work alongside the people we support to promote independence, create opportunities and support people to live meaningful and connected lives within their communities. We are currently recruiting a caring and motivated Care Assistant to join our Day Services team in Swords, Co. Dublin.

About The Role

As a Care Assistant, you will:

• Provide person-centred support to adults with intellectual disabilities and autism.
• Support people with everyday living skills and personal development.
• Promote independence, choice and inclusion.
• Encourage participation in social, recreational and community activities.
• Support individuals to work towards their personal goals.
• Build positive relationships with the people we support, their families and colleagues.
• Work collaboratively as part of a dedicated team.

Essential Requirements

• A completed QQI Level 5 major award in Healthcare Support or Health Service Skills or an equivalent relevant healthcare qualification. Individual modules or component certificates alone will not meet this requirement.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A positive, person-centred approach.
• Flexibility and the ability to work as part of a team.

Experience supporting adults with intellectual disabilities and a full, clean manual driving licence are desirable.
