Job summary

Avoca Kilmacanogue is seeking a Cafe Team Lead to support management and lead team members across the department when a manager is absent. The role requires exceptional customer service, barista skills, and a proactive approach to daily store operations.

You will oversee cash handling, training, supplier orders, and brand standards while driving innovation and visual merchandising in a fast-paced, high-end retail environment. Immediate start available.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years' experience in a high-end customer facing retail business.
• Experienced barista.
• Highly organized with an ability to multi-task, priorities and meet deadlines.
• Must be strategic, commercial minded with a clear vision and a passion for retail.
• Excellent customer service skills - the ability to go 'above and beyond'.

• Flexibility for roster changes and coverage across store areas.

Responsibilities

• Customer Service - Ensure a high level of customer service across the store and handle complaints appropriately.
• Cash Management - End of day cash processes and accurate lodgement reporting.
• Staff training and development - Train staff in tills, coffee, merchandising, HACCP/food safety.
• Order processing - Create POs and maintain supplier relationships per Avoca procedures.
• Act as a brand guardian to ensure consistency across our offering.
• Drive innovation and support the team in delivering new concepts.
• Ensure retail visual merchandising and displays align with Avoca standards.
• Full compliance with health & safety and food safety requirements throughout our operations.

We are looking for a Cafe Team Lead in our Avoca Kilmacanogue store. This is a full time role, 5 days over 7 per week, for immediate start. The suitable candidate needs to be available mid week.

Job Specification

The role of a Cafe Team Lead is to provide support for the wider management team, and to be a team lead for employees in your department when a manager is absent.

Roles And Responsibilities

• Customer Service - Ensure a high level of customer service is adhered to throughout the store, handle any customer complaints appropriately, escalating where necessary.
• Cash Management - Performing end of day cash and accurate lodgement reporting, safe counts and cash drops. Correct use of meridian to input cash/safe details.
• Staff training and development - ensuring all employees are adequately trained in areas such as tills, coffee training, merchandising, HACCP/Food safety etc.
• Order processing - adhering to order schedules and processes, from both internal and external suppliers, creating PO's and maintaining excellent supplier relationships.Adhering to Avoca systems and procedures.
• Act as a brand guardian to ensure consistency across the breadth of our offering
• Drive innovation, embrace change and support the team in the delivery of new concepts
• Ensure retail visual merchandising and displays are in keeping with Avoca brand standards
• Full compliance with health & safety and Food Safety requirements throughout our
• operations
