Job summary

Avoca Dunboyne is recruiting experienced Counter Assistants for a permanent full-time role. You will deliver high standards of customer service, assist with barista tasks, operate tills and help keep the department stocked and tidy.

Ideal candidates have experience in busy hospitality, are great communicators, and stay customer‑focused. Avoca offers a pension scheme, professional development, an Employee Assistance Programme and health & wellness initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Customer Service - assist customers in person and via phone.
• Barista duties - make coffees and serve food.
• Till use - scan items and take payments, manage queues.
• Run tables/table service to support front-of-house operations.
• Replenish stock and ensure department aligns with Avoca brand standards.
• Perform opening and closing duties as directed by line manager.
• Maintain cleanliness and adherence to brand standards.

We are recruiting for experienced Counter Assistants to work on a permanent full-time basis in our location at Avoca Dunboyne. This position is for an immediate start and the candidate must be flexible.
Duties include:

• Customer Service - A high standard of customer service is required for the role, including assisting customers in person and via phone
• Barista - making coffees, serving fresh food to customers.
• Till use - scanning items and taking payments, managing queues in a timely manner.
• Running tables/table service
• Replenishing stock, ensuring the department is always in line with Avoca brand standards.
• Opening and closing duties as outlined by your line manager
• Ensuring the store is clean, tidy and in keeping with Avoca brand standard
• Ad-hoc duties outlined by your manager
