Unknown is seeking a Cafe Chef / Cafe Assistant to work full-time in Galway. The role runs Monday to Friday, 7:30am–4:00pm with a 1 hour unpaid break. Salary is €14.15 per hour, located at Liosban Industrial Estate.

Job Details

Position: Cafe Chef / Cafe Assistant

Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 4:00pm

Break: 1 hour unpaid break per day

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing and cooking all cafe food items to a high standard.
• Carrying out daily food preparation for breakfast, lunch, and other menu items.
• Taking stock, checking deliveries, and helping with inventory control.
• Labelling, dating, and storing all food items correctly.
• Following food safety, hygiene, and health and safety regulations at all times.
• Keeping the kitchen, food preparation areas, and storage areas clean and organised.
• Washing dishes and assisting with general cleaning duties when required.
• Helping to make coffees and serve customers when needed.
• Supporting the team in keeping the cafe clean, tidy, and running smoothly throughout the day.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a cafe, kitchen, deli, or food preparation role is preferred.
• Good knowledge of food hygiene and safe food handling practices.
• Ability to work well as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work Monday to Friday.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Friendly attitude and willingness to help with different areas of the cafe when needed.
