Unknown is seeking a Cafe Chef / Cafe Assistant to work full-time in Galway. The role runs Monday to Friday, 7:30am–4:00pm with a 1 hour unpaid break. Salary is €14.15 per hour, located at Liosban Industrial Estate.

The position involves kitchen preparation, cooking, serving customers, and maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards. Benefits include a meal per shift, food allowance, and store discount.

Qualifications

• Previous cafe/kitchen/food prep experience preferred.
• Good knowledge of food hygiene and safe handling.
• Ability to work well in a team.
• Reliable and punctual in a fast-paced cafe setting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook cafe items to a high standard.
• Daily food prep for breakfast, lunch and menu items.
• Take stock, deliveries and inventory control.
• Label, date and store food items correctly.
• Follow food safety, hygiene and health regulations.
• Keep kitchen and prep areas clean and organised.
• Wash dishes and assist with cleaning tasks.
• Assist with coffee service and customer orders.
• Support the team to keep the cafe running smoothly.
