Job summary

Centra Marleypark cafe, Grange Road Retail Centre, Rathfarnham, Dublin, is seeking a friendly, motivated full-time barista to join the team. You will greet customers, prepare beverages and help maintain a clean, welcoming cafe environment just across from Marley Park.

The ideal candidate has an interest in food and coffee, enjoys chatting with customers, works well under pressure, and aligns with Centra values. Barista experience is preferred but not essential.

Qualifications

• Previous hospitality experience is an advantage.
• Barista experience is desirable but not essential.

• Passion for food, coffee and ability to inspire customers.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and take orders with a friendly manner.
• Prepare and serve coffee and beverages to Centra standards.
• Maintain caf area clean, tidy and well stocked throughout service.
• Adhere to Centra policies, procedures and guidelines.
• Assist customers to learn about food and beverages.
• Address customer queries professionally and efficiently.

Main purpose of the role:
Ensure the caf operates efficiently and effectively and provide our customers with the very best customer service at all times.

The ideal candidate will have/be:

• Previous experience in the hospitality sector (caf, restaurant, hotel) an advantage;
  
• Barista experience is desirable but not essential;
  
• Previous customer service experience is an advantage;
  
• Passion for food, coffee and ability to inspire customers;

  Main duties:
  

• Actively live Centra brand-values i.e. Proud, Energetic, Imaginative and Community-Based;
  
• Always ensure that customer satisfaction is the number one priority by greeting each customer as if it€,,s their first visit to the caf and consistently deliver an exceptional service;
  
• Adhere to all standards required including the policies, procedures, instructions and guidelines set out for the caf;
  
• Assist customers to improve their knowledge of our food and beverages;
  
• Deal with all customer queries efficiently, professionally and in line with store/caf policy;
  
• Merchandise and present the caf to the highest standard at all time and in accordance with relevant guidelines;
  
• Ensure that all areas of the caf/your area are kept clean and tidy to the required food safety standards.

About the locality:

We are a busy, friendly cafe located across from Marley Park in Rathfarnham. We are looking for a friendly hardworking and enthusiastic full time barista to join our team. The ideal person will have a positive attitude, be reliable, enjoy chatting with customers, work well under pressure and as part of a team in our busy cafe enviorment.

Barista experience is preferred but not necessary.
