The role requires availability for 5 shifts per week, including weekends. A passion for great coffee and the ability to work independently are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year barista experience is essential.
• Strong command of written and spoken English.
• Able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends.
• Experience in high-volume service is advantageous.

The 4-star Glenroyal Hotel & Leisure Club is seeking an experienced and passionate Barista to join our vibrant team. Conveniently located just a short stroll from Maynooth town centre and only a 25-minute drive from Dublin City Centre, the Glenroyal Hotel is easily accessible via national rail and bus services.

Role Overview

As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality coffee and beverages, maintaining a clean and welcoming service area, and delivering outstanding customer service. This role requires availability for 5 shifts per week, including weekends. We are looking for someone who has a passion for great coffee and can work independently on a high-volume counter.

Main Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve coffee and other beverages to a consistently high standard
• Comfortable maintaining coffee machines day-to-day, including adjusting grind settings and organising servicing when needed
• Provide friendly, efficient, and professional service to all customers
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the coffee station and seating area
• Serve food while adhering to all food safety and hygiene standards
• Manage stock and ensure supplies are replenished as needed
• Work with the wider team to ensure the smooth running of the café at all times
• Working in other food & beverage areas of the hotel as required

Skills & Experience Requirements

• At least 1 year barista experience is essential
• Previous food handling experience is preferred
• Experience in training colleagues is an advantage
• A high level of written & spoken English is required
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, up to 5 days over 7, including weekends
