Job summary

MWP in Cork is seeking a Senior Civil BIM Technician to support engineers in producing full working models and drawings using Civil 3D and AutoCAD within the Civil Department. The ideal candidate will coordinate models with internal and external teams including Architects, Building Services and Site Contractors.

The role also involves supporting the BIM Manager to uphold BIM standards, and mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• + 10 years’ experience.
• Proficient in Autodesk Civil 3D, AutoCAD and other modelling software to produce 2D & 3D designs (Infraworks, Navisworks desirable).
• Irish/UK experience advantageous.
• Strong ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Be a good team player.
• Strong road design experience; drainage design advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Produce full working models and drawings using Civil 3D and AutoCAD within the Civil Department.
• Coordinate models with internal and external design team members including Architects, Building Services and Site Contractors.
• Support the BIM Manager in adherence to BIM standards, methods and procedures.
• Provide guidance/mentoring of junior staff.

Location: Cork, Limerick, Tralee, Galway, London

MWP requires a Senior Civil Technician to support the delivery of a broad range of projects. The position would suit motivated, practical, and adaptable individuals who have ambition to work in a progressive and innovative Engineering and Environmental Consultancy.

In the role of Senior Civil BIM Technician, you will support the Engineers in the production of full working models and drawings using Civil 3d and AutoCAD within the Civil Department. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work on one’s own initiative to co-ordinate models with internal and external design team members including Architects, Building Services and Site Contractors. Support the BIM Manager in the adherence of company/client/project BIM standards, methods and procedures. Provide guidance/mentoring of junior staff. You will be involved in an interesting mix of projects ranging from Energy, Residential, Commercial, and Pharmaceutical.

The skills/attributes required:

• + 10 years’ experience
• Proficient in the use of Autodesk Civil 3D, AutoCAD software and other modelling software to produce both 2d & 3d designs. Infraworks, Vehicle Tracking and Navisworks experience would be desirable but not essential.
• Irish/UK experience a distinct advantage.
