We are seeking an experienced Buyer to join a well-established Irish main contractor at their head office in North Dublin, managing the procurement of materials, plant and services across a busy pipeline of projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Procure materials, plant and services for projects in line with programme and budget
• Obtain and evaluate quotations and negotiate prices and terms with suppliers
• Build and manage relationships with key suppliers
• Work closely with site, commercial and project teams to plan procurement
• Track orders and deliveries and resolve supply issues
• Maintain procurement records and support cost-saving initiatives

Skills & Qualifications

• Buying or procurement experience within construction, ideally with a main contractor
• Good knowledge of construction materials and supply chains
• Strong negotiation and commercial skills
• Highly organised, with strong attention to detail
• Proficient in MS Office and procurement / ERP systems
