Job summary

Aramark Ireland is hiring for a meat processing operative in Cork. You will prepare, trim, and process meat to specification, operate equipment safely, and ensure HACCP compliance across production.

Job description

• Prepare, trim, cut, and process meat products according to production requirements and specifications.
• Operate processing equipment and machinery safely and efficiently, adhering to all operational guidelines. Weigh, label, package, and store meat products accurately to ensure traceability and quality. Maintain high production standards and consistency across all meat processing activities. Ensure strict adherence to HACCP and Food Safety regulations at all times.
• Complete online orders accurately and efficiently, meeting agreed delivery timelines. Conduct stocktaking and implement proper stock rotation procedures to minimise waste. Maintain Quality Control standards and conduct regular quality checks on all products. Maintain accurate record-keeping and ensure HACCP documentation is kept up to date.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of all equipment, machinery, and work surfaces to ensure hygiene standards. Comply with health and safety legislation and contribute to a safe working environment for all team members. Communicate effectively with team members and management to ensure smooth operational workflow. Assist with customer enquiries and provide advice on meat products when required.

Qualifications

**Required Qualifications:** Minimum 5 years' experience in butchery or meat processing, ideally within a retail environment HACCP certification (Level 1 or above) or willingness to obtain within the first 3 months of employment

• A hard-working, flexible, and committed individual with a strong work ethic Excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to provide product advice Computer literacy and familiarity with point-of-sale or inventory management systems Physical fitness and stamina to meet the demands of a fast-paced production environment
