As part of a global organisation with revenues exceeding $18bn and operations in 18 countries, we combine international scale with strong local insight.

With over 8,000 colleagues in Ireland, we are proud to partner with leading organisations to create exceptional experiences where people work, learn, recover and play. Our purpose goes beyond service delivery - we are committed to enriching lives, supporting our communities and advancing a more sustainable future for both people and the planet.

The Role

Aramark Ireland is recruiting a Business Development Manager to represent our Facilities business in the Irish market. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious sales professional to develop their career within a growth organisation.

Reporting to the Growth Director, the role holder will be responsible for identifying, pursuing and winning new Facilities Management contracts across Ireland, while supporting retention and expansion within our existing client base. You will work closely with the Sales team and with Operations, Finance and other support functions to implement the sales strategy and deliver agreed financial targets.

You will manage the full sales cycle - from opportunity identification and client engagement through to tender, negotiation and contract close - and act as the commercial voice of our Facilities offer to prospective and existing clients. New business and retention targets will be agreed with the Growth Director.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify, develop and progress new Facilities business opportunities with prospective clients, and grow opportunities within the existing client base.
  • Implement the agreed sales and retention plan to meet financial targets for new business, retention and expansion.
  • Lead the preparation and delivery of innovative, bespoke tenders and proposals for Facilities services, and negotiate new contracts through to close.
  • Manage all sales and tender activity within your defined portfolio, maintaining an accurate and well-qualified pipeline.
  • Work with Operations, Technical Services, Finance and key support functions to ensure solutions, pricing and risk positions are tailored to client needs and aligned to company objectives.
  • Work closely with the Operations teams to drive retention, contract extensions and growth across the portfolio.
  • Build and maintain a strong network of relationships with decision-makers, consultants and industry contacts to secure new business.
  • Position Aramark as a strategic partner by bringing insight, innovation and integrated service solutions, including opportunities to combine Facilities with our wider Food, Workplace and Property capabilities.
  • Maintain up-to‑date knowledge of market trends, competitor activity, regulation and best practice within the Irish FM sector.
  • Partner with the team and Aramark's international colleagues to develop innovative market approaches and leverage global expertise and best practice.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and provide regular pipeline, forecast and performance reporting.
Requirements and Skills
  • A minimum of 3 years' proven experience in business development, sales or bid management within Facilities Management (soft and/or technical services) in the Irish market.
  • Demonstrable track record of winning new business and managing the tender process for multi-year service contracts.
  • Strong relationship-building and networking skills, with the ability to engage and influence at all levels, including senior client stakeholders.
  • Sound commercial and financial awareness, including pricing, margin, contract structures and risk, with the ability to produce high-quality, business-winning proposals.
  • Good understanding of the FM service landscape, including cleaning, security, maintenance, engineering and workplace services, and of how clients buy them.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a high standard of formal presentation.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple opportunities and deadlines concurrently.
  • A client-centric approach, with the ability to understand client perspectives and develop tailored solutions.
  • 3rd level qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in Food, Hospitality, Property or Retail services would be an advantage.
  • A full clean driving licence and willingness to travel as required.
Why Join Aramark Ireland
