ERA Sciences is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support process mapping and optimisation for a major digital transformation within the life-sciences sector. You will map the daily activities across operations, engineering and management functions, engaging stakeholders to identify challenges and define improvements while maintaining quality, compliance and risk controls.

• Ensure process and technology discussions consider GxP and data-integrity expectations.
• Produce clear, high-quality documentation and communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Contribute to knowledge transfer and handover at engagement end.

ERA Sciences is looking for an experienced Business Analyst to support process mapping and optimisation activities for a major digital transformation programme within the life-sciences sector.

You will help map and understand the “day in the life” of personnel across operational, engineering and management functions. You will work closely with stakeholders and subject-matter experts to understand current processes, identify challenges and opportunities, and help define practical improvements while maintaining an appropriate focus on quality, compliance and risk.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate workshops, interviews and on-site engagement sessions with business and technical stakeholders.
• Map current-state processes, activities, roles, systems and data flows.
• Capture user insights and translate them into clear, structured requirements.
• Develop a consistent view of operational activities across multiple functions.
• Identify process challenges, inefficiencies, risks and opportunities for optimisation.

About you

You will be an experienced Business Analyst or Process Improvement Specialist who can combine strong analytical skills with confident stakeholder engagement. You should be comfortable working in a complex, regulated life-sciences or manufacturing environment and able to translate operational insight into clear process maps, requirements and improvement opportunities. You can think critically about problems and solutions while offering grounded perspectives to stakeholders. You have strong relational intelligence meaning you emotionally regulate effectively, communicate candidly, comfortable with negotiation and offer conflict resolution with win-win outcomes.

• Experience in business analysis, process mapping or operational improvement.
• Experience with organisational change management or adoption activities.
• Demonstrable experience facilitating workshops and stakeholder interviews.
• Strong ability to document current-state and future-state processes using collaborative whiteboard technologies i.e. Lucid App
• Experience capturing requirements and translating user needs into actionable deliverables.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Experience working in a regulated life-sciences, pharmaceutical, manufacturing or similarly controlled environment.
• Understanding of GxP, data integrity and risk-based approaches to technology or process change.
• Strong written, organisational and analytical skills.
• Experience supporting digital transformation, automation, AI or emerging-technology initiatives.
• Experience mapping complex operational processes across multiple functions.
• Experience with data-flow mapping and technology-enabled process optimisation.
• Knowledge of 21 CFR Part 11, EU GMP Annex 11 or related regulatory expectations.
• Experience working with enterprise IT, manufacturing, engineering or operational teams.
