Sheen Falls Lodge in Kenmare, Co. Kerry, Ireland, is seeking a Breakfast Chef de Partie to join our luxury kitchen team.

You will deliver high-quality, breakfast-focused dishes in a fast-paced, five-star environment, contributing to a seamless guest experience across The Falls Restaurant and The Sheen Lounge. The ideal candidate has strong breakfast and à la carte skills, is HACCP‑trained, and thrives in a professional kitchen brigade.

Qualifications

• Experience as Chef de Partie or Demi Chef de Partie in a four- or five-star hotel or quality restaurant.
• Strong breakfast and à la carte cooking experience.
• Solid food preparation, cooking and presentation skills.
• Understanding of HACCP and kitchen hygiene standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver breakfast to five-star standards.
• Ensure dishes are prepared, cooked and plated with quality and detail.

We are currently inviting applications for an experienced and passionate Breakfast Chef de Partie to join the Kitchen team at Sheen Falls Lodge, our five-star luxury hotel in Kenmare.

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented chef to become part of a highly skilled culinary team, working in an environment where quality ingredients, attention to detail and consistently exceptional standards are at the heart of everything we do.

The Role

Breakfast at Sheen Falls Lodge is an important part of our guests’ five-star experience. Our breakfast offering combines a cook-to-order à la carte service with room service, catering for up to 180 guests, with breakfast served daily from 7.30am to 10.30am/11am

As Breakfast Chef de Partie, you will take pride in delivering beautifully prepared, consistently high-quality dishes while ensuring an efficient and professional breakfast service.

You will work as part of our wider Kitchen brigade, a team of skilled and experienced chefs delivering a range of culinary experiences across the hotel, from fine dining in The Falls Restaurant to relaxed dining and Afternoon Tea in The Sheen Lounge.

The role also includes responsibility for elements of team food preparation and, when required, supporting our early afternoon lounge service.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver our breakfast offering to consistently high five-star standards.
• Ensure all dishes are prepared, cooked and presented with exceptional attention to quality and detail.
• Maintain consistency across our à la carte breakfast and room service offering.
• Ensure all food preparation and presentation standards are maintained throughout service.
• Work efficiently and calmly while delivering a busy cook-to-order breakfast service.
• Maintain the highest standards of food safety, hygiene and HACCP compliance.
• Ensure your section is organised, prepared and ready for service each day.
• Support food preparation for our team dining requirements.
• Assist other sections of the Kitchen when required.
• Work collaboratively with the wider Kitchen and Food & Beverage teams to deliver an exceptional guest experience.

About You

We are looking for a chef who is passionate about their craft and takes genuine pride in delivering consistently excellent food.

The Ideal Candidate Will

• Have previous experience as a Chef de Partie or experienced Demi Chef de Partie, ideally within a four-or five-star hotel or high-quality restaurant environment.
• Have strong breakfast and à la carte cooking experience.
• Demonstrate excellent food preparation, cooking and presentation skills.
• Have a strong understanding of HACCP and kitchen hygiene standards.
• Be organised and comfortable working in a busy, quality-focused kitchen.
• Have excellent attention to detail and a commitment to consistency.
• Work well as part of a professional kitchen brigade.
• Bring a positive attitude, strong work ethic and genuine desire to learn and develop.
