Job description

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Food & Beverage Supervisor to join our team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a hospitality professional with previous experience in a luxury five-star environment who takes genuine pride in delivering exceptional service and creating memorable guest experiences.

The successful candidate will have experience across breakfast and lounge service, together with strong food, wine and beverage knowledge. You will be a confident and engaging leader, comfortable taking responsibility for a team during service and ensuring that the highest standards are consistently maintained.

The Role

Working closely with the Restaurant Manager and Assistant Restaurant Manager, you will play an important part in the day-to-day operation of our Food & Beverage offering, including breakfast, lounge, private dining, room service, WPCC lunch and functions.

You will lead the team during service, ensuring that every guest receives attentive, professional and personalised service while maintaining the standards expected of a five-star hotel.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading and supporting the Food & Beverage team throughout service.
• Ensuring a warm, professional and seamless guest experience across all areas.
• Maintaining exceptional standards of presentation, service, cleanliness and hygiene.
• Conducting team briefings and ensuring colleagues are fully prepared for each service and special event.
• Supporting the training, induction and ongoing development of team members.
• Ensuring appropriate staffing levels in line with business requirements.
• Maintaining strong operational standards, including till procedures and cash handling.
• Managing stock levels, par stocks, weekly stocktakes and delivery checks.
• Ensuring crockery, glassware and operational equipment are maintained to the required standard.
• Identifying and addressing maintenance or equipment issues promptly.
• Supporting Food & Beverage sales, wage and departmental targets.
• Ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety, Fire Safety, Food Hygiene, Security and Customer Care requirements.
• Taking responsibility for the operation in the absence of the Restaurant Manager or Assistant Restaurant Manager when required.

• Previous supervisory experience within the Food & Beverage department of a five-star hotel or luxury hospitality environment.
• Strong experience in both breakfast and lounge service.
• Excellent knowledge of food, wine and beverages.
• A proven ability to lead, motivate, train and develop a team.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a strong understanding of luxury service standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A natural ability to engage with guests and anticipate their needs.
• A calm, organised and professional approach in a busy service environment.
• Fluent written and spoken English.

The Position

This is a full-time, rostered position, including weekend work.
