Absolute Hotel Limerick is recruiting a full-time Breakfast Chef to join our team. You will be responsible for running the breakfast section, preparing dishes to a high standard, and collaborating with the Head Chef to ensure smooth service.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a 4* hotel.
• HACCP trained and hygiene-focused.
• Strong presentation skills and attention to detail.

• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Operate and manage the breakfast section of the kitchen.
• Prepare and produce high-quality dishes to standard.
• Work across kitchen sections as required.
• Prepare mise en place for breakfast.
• Cook and serve breakfast with buffet and à la carte.
• Ensure safety and health regulations are followed.
• Assist with bar-food kitchen and carvery setup.
• Support staff lunch service.
• Maintain timely dish preparation.
• Work as part of a professional hotel team.

Main Duties:

• Operating and managing the breakfast section of the kitchen and liaising with the Head chef to ensure a successful working environment.
• To prepare and produce food to a high quality and consistent standard, working in conjunction with other chefs.
• Have the ability to work in various kitchen sections, if and as required;
• To ensure all dishes are prepared in a timely fashion;
• Preparing mise en place for the breakfast section
• Cooking and serving breakfast, with a mix of buffet and a la carte service
• Ensuring the kitchen section adheres to safety and health regulations.
• Setting up the bar-food kitchen and carvery before the other chefs begin their shifts
• Cooking and serving staff lunch
• Ensure all dishes are prepared in a timely fashion;
• Operate in a safe and responsible manner with recognized techniques;
• Work as part of a busy kitchen team and overall as part of a professional hotel team;

The successful candidate must have:

• Previous experience in a similar position, preferably in a 4* hotel environment;
• Be HACCP trained and hygiene focused;
• Have a flair for presentation;
• Excellent attention to detail;
• Have a professional appearance & a positive work attitude;
• Ability to work as part of a team in a busy kitchen environment.

Be flexible and available to work varying shifts, 5 out of 7 days, to include weekends.
