Job summary

Down Syndrome Ireland Laois Branch is seeking a Part-Time Branch Co-ordinator to support the development and delivery of a volunteer-led service for the Down syndrome community across County Laois. You will work with members, families, carers, volunteers, staff and stakeholders to ensure effective day-to-day administration and delivery of branch services.

Qualifications

• Two years administration experience or equivalent required.
• Strong IT Microsoft Office skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Proficiency with spreadsheets, CRM, data analysis and scheduling tools; project management software is a plus.
• Experience supporting people with disabilities and their families.
• Excellent organisational and timetabling abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and numerical skills.
• Excellent communication, research and interpersonal skills.
• Empathetic and professional telephone manner; clean driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day administration and branch support.
• Act as first point of contact for members.
• Support branch chair and committee on projects and events.
• Manage branch communications, PR, social media and website updates.
• Organise meetings and events, including logistics and budgeting.
• Ensure compliance with policy, GDPR and safety procedures.
• Liaise with National Office, funders and partner organisations.
• Support training and resource provision for members and families.
• Assist with financial processes and reporting alongside the Branch Treasurer.
