Job summary

ID Recruitment, in partnership with a leading biopharmaceutical manufacturer, seeks an Operations Manager for its Castlebar facility. The role leads manufacturing operations, planning, and logistics, driving efficiency and scalable processes in a fast-paced environment.

You will own staffing, oversee quality compliance, and collaborate with planning, engineering, and software teams to implement improvements and new technologies at Castlebar. International travel may be required.

Qualifications

5+ years of leadership experience in engineering, manufacturing or operations.

Responsibilities

Oversee Production and Warehouse & Logistics operations for Castlebar site.
Drive schedule adherence and manufacturing efficiency through production control and visual management.
Ensure continual quality system compliance with QMS and customer requirements.
Own staffing decisions on the production floor, managing shifts and overtime.
Lead end-to-end manufacturing improvement projects with measurable results.
Coordinate with Supply Chain to resolve problems and optimize performance.
Collaborate with Planning to address daily production issues (on-hold orders, past-due).
Work with Software development on ERP/MES changes and validation.
Develop systems to promote efficiency, accountability and continuous improvement.
Oversee SOP creation and adherence for Castlebar operations.
Manage multiple shifts to optimise capacity and cost; ensure product quality.
