Job summary

Life Science Recruitment seeks a Senior Production Manager for a large-scale biotech facility in Cork, Ireland. You will lead fermentation and liquid formulation operations, directing the site strategy to meet safety, quality and output targets in a highly regulated setting.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of leadership experience in production/manufacturing.
• Background in high-volume industries such as pharmaceutical, chemical, or food manufacturing.
• Experience implementing Lean Manufacturing and 5S principles.

Responsibilities

• Direct all production operations including fermentation (upstream/downstream) and powder blending.
• Develop and implement site-wide operational strategies to enhance efficiency and reduce conversion costs.
• Lead people management processes, including performance reviews, talent development, and succession planning.
• Analyse performance data to identify trends and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure the facility is audit-ready at all times, leading responses to internal and external regulatory bodies.
• Collaborate with global counterparts to align manufacturing pillars and share best practices.
