Job summary

NIBRT, located at Blackrock, Co. Dublin, seeks an Electrical Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair electrical systems across its GMP-simulated biopharmaceutical training facility.

You will work within the Facilities team, supporting pilot-scale upstream, downstream and fill-finish equipment and building services. The role involves planned and reactive maintenance, adherence to permit-to-work and safety procedures, and collaboration with engineers, training and research staff.

Qualifications

• Recognised electrical trade qualification (apprenticeship) or equivalent.
• Post-apprenticeship experience in industrial/pharma facilities preferred.
• Experience with CMMS for logging work orders and maintenance records.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs on electrical systems and infrastructure.
• Maintain and troubleshoot process utilities and pilot-scale equipment.
• Respond promptly to breakdowns to minimise disruption of training and operations.
• Support building management systems, fire and life-safety systems, generators and UPS.
• Install new circuits and lighting in line with drawings and change control procedures.
• Document maintenance activities accurately and on time in GMP-compliant records.
