Job summary

Boston Scientific in Cork, Ireland is seeking a Maintenance Technician S2 to provide electrical and mechanical maintenance support. Reporting to the Senior Maintenance Engineer, you will maximise equipment uptime and ensure adherence to GMP and safety standards.

The role requires strong problem solving and hands-on maintenance across automated manufacturing equipment. Ideal candidates will have a NFQ Level 6 qualification in STEM/Automation/Mechatronics and 3–5 years of relevant experience,

Qualifications

NFQ Level 6 Higher certificate in STEM, Automation Systems or Mechatronics.
Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.
Experience in GMP/ FDA-regulated environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain Planned Preventative Maintenance via CMMS (BMRAM).
Carry out maintenance of production equipment, including planned and unplanned tasks.
Perform root cause analysis on breakdowns and implement corrective repairs.
Support Line teams to maximise equipment uptime and contribute to MTTR/MTBF metrics.
Identify and implement projects for permanent solutions to recurring downtime issues.
Participate in 5S and Safety programs and CI initiatives.
