Job summary

Ascension is seeking a Biomedical Science graduate to start a career as a Field Service Engineer. You will install, maintain and repair high-end laboratory instrumentation across GMP environments, with a mix of on-site and remote support.

The role combines hands-on technical work with customer interaction and ongoing specialist training, including potential international travel. A strong lab background and GMP exposure are important.

Qualifications

• Degree in Biomedical Science, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or related life sciences.
• Understanding of GMP and working in regulated environments.
• Experience in a laboratory setting or GMP context is advantageous.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities; able to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair laboratory instrumentation in customer sites.
• Support qualification activities (IQ/OQ) in line with GMP requirements.
• Provide on-site and remote technical support via phone or email.
• Troubleshoot instrument issues in regulated environments.
• Work independently in the field and coordinate your schedule.
• Maintain service and compliance records; complete expense reports.
• Participate in product and regulatory training, including international travel.
