Job summary

Sigmar Recruitment is assisting a leading international main contractor in Dublin to appoint a BIM Coordinator for a major data centre project. You will coordinate MEP models, drive clash detection, and produce installation information in collaboration with BIM Leads, Engineers and site teams.

You will manage ACC/BIM 360 workflows, ensure BIM standards and LODs are met, and contribute to BEP development while maintaining accurate as-built handover models.

Qualifications

• Qualification in BIM, Building Services Engineering, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience as BIM Coordinator / BIM Technician / MEP BIM Coordinator.
• Strong proficiency in Revit and Navisworks Manage.
• Experience coordinating mechanical and/or electrical services.
• Experience with ACC/BIM 360 and Common Data Environments.
• Knowledge of ISO 19650 and BIM standards.

Responsibilities

• Developing and coordinating detailed MEP models using Revit.
• Managing multidisciplinary model coordination across mechanical, electrical, structural and architectural disciplines.
• Carrying out clash detection using Navisworks Manage.
• Producing coordinated construction drawings and installation information.
• Reviewing models for accuracy, constructability and compliance with project BIM standards.
• Liaising with consultants, subcontractors and stakeholders.
• Supporting the development and implementation of BIM Execution Plans (BEPs).
• Managing project information through ACC/BIM 360.
• Ensuring models comply with agreed naming conventions, LOD requirements and project standards.
• Supporting site teams with BIM-related queries and resolving coordination issues during construction. Producing and maintaining accurate as-built models and handover information.

Job description

A leading international main contractor is looking to appoint a BIM Coordinator to join its growing Digital Engineering team in Dublin.

The company specialises in the delivery of large-scale, technically complex data centre projects across Ireland and Europe and has established itself as a major player within the mission-critical sector.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious BIM professional to gain exposure to some of the most advanced MEP projects in the industry while developing within an experienced BIM and Digital Engineering team.

Your New Role

As BIM Coordinator, you will take responsibility for the coordination and delivery of mechanical and electrical BIM models on a major data centre project.

Working closely with BIM Leads, Project Managers, Engineers and site teams, you will ensure services are fully coordinated, clashes are identified early and models accurately reflect the requirements of the project.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Developing and coordinating detailed MEP models using Revit.
• Managing multidisciplinary model coordination across mechanical, electrical, structural and architectural disciplines.
• Carrying out clash detection using Navisworks Manage and driving issues through to resolution.
• Producing coordinated construction drawings and installation information.
• Reviewing models for accuracy, constructability and compliance with project BIM standards.
• Working closely with Mechanical and Electrical Engineers to ensure technical requirements are accurately represented within the model.
• Attending and contributing to BIM and design coordination meetings.
• Liaising with consultants, subcontractors and other project stakeholders.
• Supporting the development and implementation of BIM Execution Plans (BEPs).
• Managing project information through Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC)/BIM 360.
• Ensuring models comply with agreed naming conventions, LOD requirements and project standards.
• Supporting site teams with BIM-related queries and resolving coordination issues during construction.Producing and maintaining accurate as-built models and handover information.
• Supporting continuous improvement of BIM workflows and Digital Engineering processes.

What You'll Need to Succeed

• Qualification in BIM, Building Services Engineering, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Construction or a related discipline.
• Previous experience as a BIM Coordinator, BIM Technician or MEP BIM Coordinator.
• Strong proficiency in Revit and Navisworks Manage.
• Experience coordinating mechanical and/or electrical building services.
• Previous data centre, pharmaceutical, life sciences or large-scale M&E project experience would be highly advantageous.
• Experience with ACC/BIM 360 and Common Data Environments.
• Good understanding of clash detection and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Knowledge of ISO 19650 and BIM standards would be beneficial.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications and technical information.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively with BIM, engineering and construction teams in a fast-paced project environment.
