Vickerstock is seeking a Proposals Engineer for our Navan-based team to coordinate and deliver high-quality bids across water, food, beverage and pharmaceutical sectors.

You will own opportunities from qualification through to contract award, collaborating with engineering, estimating, project delivery and commercial teams to deliver technically robust and commercially competitive proposals.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or Quantity Surveying.
• Experience delivering successful bids for major construction, engineering or manufacturing projects.
• Experience in a proposals, tendering, estimating or bid management environment.
• Background within fabrication and manufacturing preferred.
• Experience in Irish and/or UK water sector advantageous.
• Strong understanding of bid management from opportunity identification through to submission.
• Demonstrated ability to develop win strategies, value propositions and commercial strategies.
• Strong commercial awareness with risk management and decision-making skills.
• Ability to manage complex, multi-workstream opportunities.
• Excellent presentation and customer-facing communication skills.
• Experience implementing or improving processes and procedures.
• Strong stakeholder management to coordinate multidisciplinary teams.

Responsabilités

• Manage the full bid process from qualification through to contract award.
• Coordinate technical and commercial bid activities across multiple workstreams.
• Develop value propositions, win themes and commercial strategies.
• Coordinate preparation of technical and commercial tender submissions.
• Review client requirements to ensure proposals meet technical, commercial and governance standards.
• Assess contractual risks and support risk mitigation strategies.
• Lead go/no-go bid qualification processes and advise on opportunities.
• Coordinate input from engineering, design, estimating, project delivery and supply chain teams.
• Engage with suppliers to develop best-value procurement strategies.
• Analyze market conditions to identify opportunities aligned with growth strategy.
• Support client meetings, presentations and wider business development activity.
• Improve bid management processes and capture lessons learned.
