Job summary

RECRUITERS is seeking a Customer Engagement & Recoveries Specialist for a 12-month contract in a major financial services environment. This onsite role involves handling estates, debt recovery tasks and coordinating with third‑party providers to progress accounts.

You’ll engage customers by phone, email and letters, review financial docs and help set up repayment plans, with extension potential based on performance.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive information.
• Confidence communicating by phone, email and written correspondence.
• Organised and able to meet deadlines and SLAs.
• Banking or office experience preferred but not essential.
• Experience in debt collection, debt management, credit, recoveries or financial services advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Engage with estates regarding branch accounts by phone, email and letter.
• Work closely with third-party providers, ensuring requests are managed within agreed SLAs.
• Review reports, financial statements and supporting documentation.
• Support customers in setting up repayment plans.
• Complete credit applications and prepare them for approval.
• Take customer payments over the phone.
• Review and progress legacy legal cases.
• Support management with complaint and error queries.
• Participate in ad hoc projects and wider team initiatives.
