Accenture’s The Dock is seeking a Backend Engineering Lead to design, build, and deliver next-generation back-end solutions. You will own APIs, databases, and business logic, while mentoring juniors and shaping technical direction across Design, Product, Data, and DevOps teams.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering software in agile teams and collaborating across disciplines.
• Proven ability to design and implement enterprise APIs and data services.
• Experience with relational, NoSQL, or vector databases.
• Proficiency with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and messaging/event-driven architectures.
• Knowledge of cloud-native services on AWS/Azure/GCP and serverless compute.

Responsibilities

• Build APIs, databases, and business logic for scalable applications.
• Mentor junior developers and perform code reviews.
• Translate requirements into practical, architecture-aligned solutions.
• Collaborate with Design, Product, Data, and DevOps teams.
• Document architectural decisions and reusable components.
