Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Back-End Engineer (Python) to join a cross-functional squad building a modern SaaS platform for global workforce management. You will develop secure, scalable APIs and integrations, with a focus on fast delivery and high ownership in a remote-first, international environment across Europe and Asia.

You will work with Product, Design, Front-End, Back-End, and QA teams, contributing to architecture discussions and AI-assisted development.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python with a web framework (FastAPI preferred).
• Experience designing and implementing microservices.
• API design including REST, gRPC, GraphQL and OpenAPI/Swagger.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with common databases.
• Able to document and communicate technical solutions clearly.
• Experience with SaaS platforms and distributed teams is a plus.
• Knowledge of AI-assisted development workflows is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop, document, and maintain fast, secure APIs used by front-end and back-end apps.
• Design and implement integrations with third-party systems.
• Participate in full software delivery lifecycle from design to deployment.
• Leverage AI coding tools within the development workflow.
• Collaborate with product and engineering to plan and implement features.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and best practices.
• Share knowledge within the Back-End Engineering Chapter.
• Document technical solutions before implementation.
• Support a culture of quality, security, and performance.
• Take ownership of technical work to meet squad objectives.
