Job summary

Swissport Cargo based at Shannon Airport are looking for enthusiastic team members to join our Cargo Operation. You will be providing clerical support to the cargo function, including supporting and organising customs clearance, cash invoicing, basic reception duties and occasional support to other areas in the warehouse.

Day to day you will be responsible for: basic Customs Clearance Process, Cash Invoicing, Reception duties, compliance with legislation and SOPs, and the ability to work shifts.

Qualifications

• Must have at least GCSEs and be eligible to work in Ireland.
• Flexible to work a variety of shifts (days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays).
• Ability to speak and understand English.
• To travel to the airport when public transport is unavailable.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
• IT literate and able to learn airline systems.
• Willingness to work in inclement weather.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Basic Customs Clearance Process
• Cash Invoicing
• Reception duties including greeting clients and visitors, answering telephone queries, sorting post, filing
• Comply with relevant legislation, airport authority and carrier security requirements
• Comply with Swissport SOPs
• Operate any necessary machinery
• Additional warehouse duties as required
