Job summary

ENGINEERING STUDENT PLACEMENTS AT THERMO KING GALWAY
Thermo King currently has an opportunity for a Software Engineering student to complete placement from January to August and/or May to January. Candidates should have completed at least 2 years of their course to be considered for these positions. The successful candidates will provide support to the ThermoKing Connected Solutions Telematics firmware group. This role will focus on using Java and Playright to automate the testing of Software Applications. This role will be based in the Connected Solutions office on the ThermoKing campus in Galway.

Core Responsibilities:
Write python and Robot-Framework code to extend our automated tests.
Run scripted tests as an aid to understanding what automated tests need to do.
Support the test team in identifying tests to work on based on existing Zephyr test cases.
Adhere to our software development standards and processes.

Key Competencies:
Python programming skills/experience
Comfortable programming in a Linux environment
Familiarity with version control systems like Git and debugging tools.
MS SQL familiarity

Nice to have:
Bluetooth experience
Familiarity with reading Java & Javascript
